Don't really want to debate this here, but I'm just wondering...

How many people have heard of the Chlois Theory? If you have are you for or against it.

Which Theory? The therory that Chloe is Lois Lane? I hope that is it. Here is information to back up my statment.

    en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chloe_Sullivan

    In this section

    Miscellaneous facts

In Season 3, episode 11, "Delete", Chloe, now working for the Daily Planet, is only allowed to have her damaging story concerning the Summerholt Institute printed on the condition that she uses a pseudonym. She decides to go by the name of her cousin, Lois Lane, saying "She won't mind. [She's] not interested in journalism." (first aired January 28, 2004)

In Season 4, episode 18, "Spirit," Chloe was nominated Prom Queen, a development orchestrated by Clark himself. Chloe won the honor. Some speculate that this is partly an allusion to dialogue spoken by Chloe in Season 1, episode 21, "Tempest" and Season 2, episode 22, "Calling," where she commented about her similarities to Cinderella.

In Season 4, episode 21, "Forever," Chloe took down her infamous "Wall of Weird" and emptied The Torch as she prepared to leave for college, at Metropolis University where the Wall took its new home - in the dorm room she and Lana Lang share.

In Season 5, episode 9, "Lexmas," the "It's a Wonderful Life" style sequences show Chloe and Clark working at the Daily Planet; Clark is below her as he "just" made it as a full-fledged reporter while she's finishing her first book deal about LuthorCorp.

It is implied that Chloe still has feelings for Clark. This is pointed out in the episode "Reckoning", it looks as though Chloe was upset when Clark announced that he is marrying Lana. In the end of "Fragile", Chloe tells Clark that she's fed up being Clark and Lana's betweener.

In the comics, Lois Lane lives with Clark Kent in an apartment at 1938 Sullivan Place in Metropolis.

Producer Miles Millar confirmed at ComicCon 02 that Chloe's name "purposefully has a lot of L's in it." Many fans have pointed out that the name "Lois Lane" is within her name with the letters c, h, l, u, v being left-over.

In March 2006, plans to add Chloe into the comics were announced.

Yeah, that's the Chlois theory I'm talking about. People can find out more info on it at carboncopy.chlois.org/

But really, I'm just wondering, taking an informal survey, how many people have heard of it before now or come up with the idea on their own.

I hadn't heard of it before Jason mentioned it previously (not by name, but informally). I think it's quite plausible.

I SUPPOSE its possible, but it sounds like a faaaaaaaaar fetch. Not to mention that it wouldnt make much sense and go against who the Lois Lane from the comics (and movies) is. Before Lois and Clark got married and such, there was this love triangle: Clark loves Lois, Lois loves Superman. Chloe's already knows Clark is from krypton and more importantly, has had strong feelings about him from the very start. I actually enjoy the relationship Lois and Clark have on "Smallville" because they have no attraction to each other yet will end up together later in their lives.

Oh, I rather think there is some attraction there, or there wouldn't be any fun to them in sparring with each other...

I admit to being curious about the Chlois theory. Was Lois EVER portrayed as a blonde?

Chlois makes more sense that a Lois who failed highschool, got kicked out of college, has no plausible way of being the BEST at the DP, who lived under Clark's roof, hates journalism.....

All EDLois has going for her is one family history, and a perchance to be ball-busting, a trait that is all MKLois. who was a representation of the 80's. A modern 21st century Lois wouldn't need that. She would blaze the trail for women just like every incarnation of Lois did within her time frame, from the glass ceiling to equality.

See now the whole goes against "who Lois is" really all depends on who you believe she is in the comics. Is she Superman's girl? Or is she more than that? WHO IS LOIS? Is the real question.

Many say: She was a dark haired female name Lois Lane and is the daughter of Gen. Sam Lane and sister to Lucy.
To me Lois Lane is a Role model; an intelligent, driven, passionate, hard working, determined, ambitious, tenacious young woman who was a prime example of humanity.

Given that Lois, in 1938 was a pen name (Social reality), she wasn't always daughter of Gen. Sam and sister to only Lucy, and she didn't always have dark hair those arguments aren't THAT strong. (she was an orphan or a single child or has had a niece NOT by Lucy, her father was at times a farmer or a businessman, she grew up in Met and other times in a small town, she has been red headed, brown, shown to have dyed her hair.....)

I guess in the end which seems more far fetched:

Lois Lane was a 21 year old high school failure that didn't even know it, got kicked out of college, had TWO jobs handed to her out of nepotism, and becomes the best before 28 (the oldest she ever was in any incarnation before she achieved the best reporter title) in a job she vowed she would rather die than work in?
            OR
A girl born under a different name, worked at the school paper at the highest position available, got an interview with a billionaire Lex, got published at 15 in the local paper, interned twice at the DP before exiting high school, graduated valedictorian, and worked her way up the ladder of the DP while attending college?

As far as goes against comic and movies please elaborate.
The triangle only worked when 1) Clark wore the suit and 2) Clark was a disguise.
Lois always fell for the real deal, in pre-crisis that was Superman, but when the rebooted and Clark became the real deal, Lois switched over and would only LUST after Superman and be infatuated with him but she would fall in LOVE with Clark.

Since Smallville is NOT a prequel, I can't see how Chloe knowing is relevant. Lois didn't know the truth for ~40 years but for the last ~30 she has. Since Smallville IS the story of Superman the timeline still is accurate, Chloe didn't know the truth about Krypton for 4.5 years. Only if Smallville was a prequel would Chloe's knowledge disqualify her.

Chlois to me comes across as a sad attempt by a small portion of Chloe fans to try make there favorite character more then they most likely (deep down) know she will end up. Weither there is a Lois Lane on the show or not(which i am personally not a fan of having Lois on the show), Chloe doesn't resemble Lois Lane other then her journalism interest, which is seeming to become a non issue.

Worst part of this theory is it seems there biggest arguement why Chloe is Lois Lane is trying to prove why Smallville's take of Lois isn't and reasoning then Chloe is without any logical reason behind it(besides her interest in journalism and some hope if she becomes Lois she ends up with Clark) because Smallville Lois isn't(like there has to be a Lois Lane on the show)
